In my quest to find out if the Peace Corps is right for me, I'm picking up as many books about travel and the Peace Corps itself to read about other's experiences and memories of their time. This was a very good book, and it certainly gave me a lot more history on the Peace Corps than I knew before.Rajeev Goyal spent two years in the Peace Corps in Nepal. This book was very different from what I expected. I admire Rajeev's journey, especially as a Peace Corps Volunteer myself, however, I found the discussion of his work on the Hill quite tedious, which was surprising to me as I hosted one of the More Peace Corps parties at the time. I wish I could put my finger on my discomfort . . . part of it is that I feel like there must be more to the story regarding the split with the Peace Corps Association.
