An amazing collection of stories and photographs documenting the lives of African Americans as they blaze trails, shake up history and help to create some of the major cities in Washington, Oregon and California. You could randomly turn to any page and find a great bit of history that is not publicized and practically lost to the past. I was pretty impressed by the sections on Portland and Seattle and the history I never knew about the city I live in currently and the other I visit frequently. S [...]
