So much clichés. Resurrection in to a magic world, a teacher in the mind, harem, going to the academy and forming a gang. If he could create the pills, then this book would have had all the clichés. The good point is the book is long and you can read for quite some time.

Repetitive, long, and wordy, but still a good bookAs a story, the premise is solid. It is easy to connect to the characters. There is very little that is original in the world building, but it is put together well. This is obviously a translation, or at least not written in the author's native tongue. Phrasing is slightly off in places, and incorrect words are used in others. Also, there are insights, or interactions that are written out in detail for the second or third time. It took some time [...]

I didn't actually finish reading this book. The repeated events in every chapter bothered me so much. I was having to force myself to read, but dropping it when it would repeat WHAT JUST HAPPENED 3 PAGES AGO! Sorry, it's really annoying. I read a book to enjoy it, and I really loved this story. Just not enough to finish. Maybe if the manga is published in the US then I'll pick it up again.

The story is interesting. However, it has clearly been translated from another language and was written with a different writing style than normally used in English. This translation is serviceable, but nothing more, and leaves the narration very choppy and repetitive. It could use a good editor to smooth it out. Among other things the constant repetition of character names and the way things are repeated several times within a few sentences is very distracting.

Tale of 2 booksOverall I found this to be a great book. It seems like this is a book originally written in a different language and the translation was poorly done. Words like cave-in instead of caverns drastically break up the narrative. If you can get past the translation the story is engaging and the characters are well developed. As a final thought it was good enough to convince me to buy the sequel.

Great storyThis is a great book. Filled with lots of action scenes. Great friends that find themselves caught up in the politics of their fathers. The Chinese mythology and the creatures are fully developed. Some grammar and spelling issues but overall a highly riveting tail of friendship. I highly recommend this book.

First book i read which is written in this style and need some time to get used to it, but i have had an amazing time reading it. Mesmerizing and capture your full attention, if you can overlook the fact that the names are repeated every time (which annoyed me 'till the very end, and will in the future). If you like a tiny drop of Asian culture, than read it

reads like watching anime ^^ - I loved that! The editing was very bad though - random tense changes, bad grammar, spelling errors (for example: "robe" instead of "rope" or "school" instead of "scroll") which made it hard to really dive into the story.

The description is accurate, but the quality is mediocre. The setting is interesting. The plot is a fairly standard coming of age story. The prose is awkward and the work is full of inconsistencies about timing. A book for fans of the sub-genre, but not for the general pop.

Couldn't stop reading!Surprisingly good book, although it could use a little editing it wasn't enough to really distract me too much from the story. I can't wait for book 2!!

Entertaining Xianxia novelBetter than average storyline and a very good value as the story is quite long. Needs some editing but it doesn't distract much.
